Privacy Policy

Cucina Roma respects your privacy. This page explains what personal data we collect when you book one of our experiences or visit the website, how we use it and what your rights are. It is written in accordance with EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR).

1. Who is the data controller

The data controller is Cucina Roma — cooking classes at Via Varrone 7, Rome. For any privacy question, write to cucinaroma2023@gmail.com or call/WhatsApp +39 329 388 0287.

2. What data we collect

When you fill in the booking form we collect: your name, email address, phone number, the class you choose, the requested date and time, the number of participants and any notes you write (for example allergies or dietary needs).

If you contact us via WhatsApp, email or social media, we use the information you choose to send us in order to reply.

When you browse the site we also collect technical navigation data (pages visited, device type, country) through cookies and measurement tools described in section 7.

3. Why we use your data

To manage your booking: check availability, confirm the class, send practical information and communicate any changes. The legal basis is the performance of the contract (art. 6.1.b GDPR).

To comply with legal obligations, such as tax and accounting duties connected to payments (art. 6.1.c GDPR).

To improve the website and understand which pages are most useful, in aggregate and anonymous form (legitimate interest, art. 6.1.f GDPR).

We never use your data to send newsletters or promotional messages without your explicit consent.

4. Where your data is stored

Bookings are saved on a secure cloud infrastructure (Lovable Cloud) that only the Cucina Roma team can access.

Bookings made through our booking platform partner and online payments are handled by external services with their own privacy policies; we only receive the information needed to run the class.

Confirmation emails are sent through a professional email service.

5. How long we keep your data

We keep booking data for as long as needed to organise and confirm the classes and, afterwards, for the period required by accounting and tax obligations. Aggregate navigation data is kept for shorter periods.

6. Who can access your data

The Cucina Roma team and, where strictly necessary, the technical providers that help us run the website and bookings (hosting, database, email service, booking platform).

We never sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Some providers may have servers outside the European Union: in that case transfers comply with the GDPR, for example through standard contractual clauses.

7. Cookies and measurement tools

The website uses Google Analytics, with anonymised IP addresses, to understand in aggregate how people use the site (most visited pages, language, device). These cookies do not personally identify visitors.

Google Analytics is only activated if you click "Accept" in the cookie banner; if you click "Decline" it is never loaded. We do not use advertising or profiling cookies. Technical cookies needed for the site to work do not require consent. Your choice is saved on your device and you can change it at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link at the bottom of the page, or block/delete cookies in your browser settings.

8. Your rights

At any time you can ask us to: access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict its use, receive a portable copy, or object to its processing.

To exercise a right, write to cucinaroma2023@gmail.com: we reply within 30 days.

If you believe your data is being processed unfairly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).

9. Security

Bookings travel over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and are stored on infrastructure with appropriate protection measures. Access to booking data is reserved to the Cucina Roma team.

10. Updates to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect new website features or new legal obligations. The version published on this page is always the one that applies.
